Couldn't find any inspiration for this week's blog so I'll talk about my Easter Sunday.
Today, I went to mass at the church over at UH Manoa. This was my first time attending the church over there so I didn't really know what to expect. The priest had a lot of good stories to tell, which made the service pretty good and not boring like how Catholic churches usually are. In one of his stories he was talking about a time last Easter when he was at the mall. He noticed that a older woman was pushing the button to open the doors at Sears, but she didn't realize that it wasn't working. So, he went up to her and said, "I don't think they work if you're under 50," and continued to be on his way. After the woman had gathered what he said to her she yelled out, "I love you!"
I thought that was a pretty funny story and so did the rest of the people who attended the mass. After mass, I went to eat brunch with my cousins at Tsukiji's Seafood Restaurant in Ala Moana. It's a buffet style restaurant and isn't too pricey. I have to say, they had some pretty awesome food over there. Even more so because it was Easter. They had their usual seafood stuff and sushi bar, their spicy tuna is one of the best I've had. They also had chicken teriyaki, ribs, different noodles, and a lot of other foods I can't even remember. For dessert they had fruits, shaved ice, tiramisu, and other chocolate cakes. The terimisu was really good.
After brunch I came back to my apartment and knocked out. It's one of the best feelings to knock out after a heavy meal. It's back to reality again tomorrow. Just a few more weeks and then it's summer again!
